About
For more than two decades, I have dedicated my legal career to serving children, families and the courts of Indiana. After practicing law for more than ten years, I then served as a juvenile magistrate judge from 2015 to 2026. As a juvenile magistrate, I presided over thousands of cases involving families, children, custody, abuse and neglect, and termination of parental rights, providing me the opportunity to work with individuals facing some of life’s most challenging circumstances. My experience on the bench has only reinforced the importance of impartiality, thoughtful decision-making and recognizing that behind every case is a family seeking a path forward. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to one guiding principal: that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and fairness.
Today, I bring that same perspective to my work as a registered mediator, Guardian ad Litem and child welfare consultant. Whether I am facilitating a mediation, advising the court on a child’s best interests or consulting on a complex CHINS case, I believe that trust is earned by listening carefully, communicating honestly and treating everyone involved with courtesy and respect. At Yonally Law & Mediation, my mission is to help families navigate conflict with professionalism, integrity and hope for the future.
In addition to being registered in Indiana as a mediator and a Guardian ad Litem, I also serve as a senior judge, pursuant to appointment and annual certification by the Indiana Supreme Court, to supplement existing judicial resources and cover Indiana trial courts in the absence of a regular judge. Should I become aware of any conflict arising as a result of my work as either a mediator or Guardian ad Litem and my work as a senior judge, participants will be notified immediately so the conflict can be addressed appropriately.
