Mediation is a collaborative process designed to help families find solutions that work for everyone.

The Mediation Process

The Mediation Process Generally Includes:

An initial scheduling and intake process.

A mediation session in a confidential setting, either in person or virtually via Zoom.

Guided discussion of each issue requiring resolution.

Development of mutually acceptable agreements.

Preparation of a written mediated agreement, when appropriate, for review by the parties and their attorneys before submission to the court.

Participants may attend mediation with or without counsel, depending on the circumstances and the requirements of the court.

Depending on the complexity of the case or issues involved, more than one mediation session may be necessary to resolve identified issues.
